Butterfly Nakama P7 Japanese Penhold Table Tennis Racket - Great First Racket For Japanese Penhold Style Of Play - Nakama Series - Includes 2 40+ Balls - Recommended For Beginning Level Players
The Butterfly Nakama P7 Japanese Penhold Table Tennis Racket is constructed of 5 layers of wood. The all-wood composition of this table tennis blade offers a softer feel at impact as it will flex slightly and 'hold' the ball a bit longer than blades made with a reinforcing material such as carbon fibre. Wakaba offers moderate speed and spin which is ideal for intermediate level play. Not too fast, not too slow…just right. For a high control rubber, Wakaba offers excellent spin. The backside of the blade is painted black as traditional Japanese penhold rackets are constructed with rubber on only one side of the blade surface. Both forehand and backhand shots are executed using the same side of the paddle.
- Blade Construction: 5-Ply Wood
- Handle: Japanese Penhold - Cork Mounted On Top Of Handle & Back Of Blade For Comfort
- Rubber: Wakaba | Sponge Thickness (mm): 1.9
- Comes with two 40+ (poly) balls
- International Table Tennis Federation Approved
PLEASE NOTE: Like most recreational rackets, this racket is assembled with a glue that is intended to keep the rubber permanently attached to the wood for the life of the racket. If you prefer to have the ability to upgrade the rubber when it becomes worn, please check out our Pro-Line Series.

Butterfly Nakama P1 Japanese Penhold Table Tennis Racket - Our Most Popular Rubber Of All Time With Carbon fibre Power - Nakama Series - Includes 2 40+ Balls - Recommended For Advanced Level Players
The Butterfly Nakama P1 Japanese Penhold Table Tennis Racket is a hybrid of wood and carbon fibre layers. The wooden surface outer plies are followed by a thin layer of carbon fibre. The Innershield Layer ZLF is soft and supple like a catcher's mitt. The ZL fibre (ZLF) is strong, elastic and offers a large sweet spot with a softer feel than Carbon. The Innerforce technology allows you to 'hold' the ball longer on the racket. The larger blade head offers more surface area, ideal for retrieving balls from anywhere on the court. Tenergy 64 is the fastest of the Tenergy series rubbers allowing you to quickly go on the offense. It keeps a low trajectory whether attacking or defending. Feint Long II is designed to slow down your opponent's attack. It's tall and narrow pimple structure reverses the spin of your opponents' shot which will keep them on their toes when determining the degree of spin on the ball.
