A modern hybrid rubber. The harder Japanese sponge texture balances control against speed, so hard-hit balls accelerate enough to put an opponent under real pressure. The Chinese, slightly sticky topsheet adds a further dimension of spin, with notable quality in serve and return and in blocking.
