Competition table tennis tables — built to tournament specification.
Top thickness is what sets the bounce, and competition tables sit at the top of that range, typically 22–25 mm. A thicker top returns a higher, more consistent bounce across the whole surface, which is what makes play predictable enough to be judged. The frame and undercarriage are built to match, so the table stays true through heavy use.
These are indoor tables and need the space to be used properly — measure the room rather than the table. For daily unsupervised use a club or institutional table may be the better build, and for the home a recreational table is usually enough.
