Donic
Donic table tennis equipment — a German brand with a deep blade and rubber range, alongside assembled rackets, balls, tables and accessories.
Donic's competition range is built around named player lines — Waldner, Ovtcharov, Persson and Appelgren among the blades — and around the Bluefire, Bluestorm, Acuda and Baracuda rubber families. The blades run from all-wood allround frames to carbon, aramid and Zylon composites, so there's a real range to choose from rather than one house style.
One thing worth knowing before you compare two Donic products side by side: different series are rated in different ways — most in words (controlled, medium or fast for speed; medium, high or extreme for spin), some in numbers on Donic’s own scale, and hardness is often stated in words rather than degrees. Compare within a series and the figures line up directly; across two series, check which scale each one is using first.

DONIC WORLD CHAMPION 89 – the champions´ blade series, and top workmanship made in Germany! Its three blades are dedicated to the Swedish legends Jan-Ove Waldner, Jörgen Persson and Michael Appelgren.
They are produced exclusively for DONIC in Germany – where the golden era of the Swedish team began in 1989, when they secured a historic 5–0 win in the final against China at the World Championships in Dortmund. Experts make these blades with maximum precision and cutting-edge technology, a fitting reflection of how the three Swedish legends played.
This one is for allround players, power allround players and controlled offensive players that love a lightweight blade. Very lightweight, very good control, good feel.
Technology: 7 plies made of kiri (core ply), ayous (2+4), carbon fleece Zylon (3+5) and spruce (1+7, outer ply).
One of the classics: the classic allround blade, and the best-selling DONIC blade. Its excellent feel and optimum ball control are just like Mikael Appelgren, who became a three-time European Champion in men’s singles and World Champion in men’s teams using this blade.

DONIC BALSA CARBO CERTRAN FIBRE – extreme Power with a light touch. There are no compromises with this blade: Certran Carbon, an artificial fibre, has been combined with a new carbon layer and placed directly under the Koto outer veneers, which gives the latest model in the Balsa Carbo Line its extreme hardness.
Together with the 4 mm thick balsa core, the result is an astonishingly light blade – at 75g the BALSA CARBO CERTRAN FIBRE is one of the lightest DONIC blades ever. It is also superfast, even faster and harder than the CARBO FLEECE.
BALSA CARBO CERTRAN FIEBRE is an attacking blade for all players who stay close to the table and play a ferocious power game: uncompromising attackers who hit the ball hard. It is especially suitable when used with soft rubbers. Extremely light, very hard and stunningly fast.
Technology: 7 plies of Balsa (inner, 4mm), Limba (3&5) Certran Carbon (2&6), Koto (1&7, outer). Straight, concave, anatomic.
DONIC BALSA CARBO LINE: Balsa wood is known for its light weight and soft properties, carbon for its rigidity and stability, and the result of combining them is incredible. Together, balsa and carbon minimise the weight of the blade, enable powerful and controlled attacking shots and provide an exceptional feel. Table tennis can be this easy!
This one is for offensive players that love lightweight blades. Extremely lightweight, hard and noticeably fast with an exceptional feel.
Technology: 7 veneers made of balsa (core veneer, 5 mm), carbon fleece (3+5), limba (2+6) and yaya (outer veneer).
The rubber with vicious spin: the BARRACUDA rubbers have been designed based on the Formula DONIC, with one decisive addition – the ball leaves the rubber in a considerably higher arc, which provides much more spin for topspin strokes. That spin stabilises the flight path of the ball and increases accuracy when you hit the ball with topspin.
This one is for allround players that focus on attacking in a controlled manner and with spin. Soft, spinny, excellent control and with a satisfying sound.
Technology: soft sponge, spin-elastic topsheet.

A rubber for attacking players that utilise lots of topspin: excellent rotation and spin, and a higher ball arc when playing topspin strokes.
Technology: medium sponge, spin-elastic topsheet.
To improve the playing effects of large-pored sponges, the DONIC Bluefire series among them, the DONIC Blue Contact Glue has been specially developed. The glues sticky consistency guarantees a strong adhesion but also allows the rubber sheet to be easily detached when changing rubbers without damaging the sponge.
In addition if several layers of the glue are applied, spin and speed playing qualities of the rubber are enhanced
