Soft Sponge Rubbers

Butterfly Challenger Attack rubber is a pimples-out rubber ideal for quick attacks. However, due to the amount of spin that can be generated (more than traditional short pips rubbers), you can also use it for a controlled allround game as well. With this versatility, players of a variety of levels and playing styles can benefit from what Challenger Attack has to offer.

With a sponge that is just barely softer than the Tenergy line, one also has exceptional feel on their shots, helping to place pushes and attacks right where they are needed.

• Challenger Attack produces more spin than traditional pips out rubbers
• Perfect for players that value the spin variation that pips offer
• Well-suited for high-tempo attacking play as well as controlled allround play
• Pairs best with Petr Korbel, SK Carbon, Hadraw SK, Mazunov, and other Butterfly blades
• Butterfly Free Chack table tennis glue recommended when assembling Butterfly table tennis rubbers

Hexer will enthuse players who are in search of a rubber for devastating topspins. Its topsheet uses 100% natural rubber, which results in increased grip and a longer dwell time. This improves the trampoline and rotation effects for the same striking energy, and gives your loop a higher trajectory for added safety.

In addition, the new and progressive pip geometry gives a compact playing feel for better control over all that power. All Hexer rubbers are noted for their longevity, so you need to change rubbers less often.

The 4th generation of Tensor Technology unfolds its immense qualities in spin and loop-oriented play. The 100% natural rubber topsheet is particularly renowned for its ability to grab the ball on soft brushing strokes like slow loops and serves where only the topsheet is used, but also performs very well on fast or medium loops where the ball is driven deeper into the sponge. The pip structure and topsheet combine to provide outstanding control overtable playstrokes like short pushes, serve returns, and other touch shots, which are an often overlooked, but crucially important, part of the game and are often responsible for setting up shots that can be more easily attacked.

Hexer Powersponge—make it sound! Thanks to this Hexer version, players who prefer soft rubber and sensational speed-glue sound (Sound Performance) can also benefit from the advantages of the fourth Tensor generation. The inbound rotation energy is absorbed by the rubber and immediately gets transferred to active outbound energy.

The soft Powersponge generously forgives slight mistakes in optimum ball contact, resulting in outstanding control. The excellent ball feedback provides additional confidence when hitting the ball and hearing the loud clicking sound that confirms a good stroke.

For players of all levels wanting to experience speed and loud sound sensation without missing control! Hexer—It's Magic! More Spin. Sound Performance.

Impuls Speed produces significantly more speed and spin than the successful Impuls rubber, without losing control! It is the softest of all andro Tensor Bios rubber sheets, and is made from a balanced rubber recipe that provides players of beginner to medium level with more controlled power for active strokes.

Impuls Speed helps you with both defense and offense. The very soft sponge absorbs your opponent's speed, letting you defend consistently. When you become active and attack, it produces more energy. The strong sound and improved ball handling will immediately impress you. You will experience fewer mistakes due to the extra high arc and bigger sweet spot!

Impuls Speed can be managed without effort even if you practice less. It is an excellent rubber for all players who want the feel of speed-glued rubber.

Philosophy: Speed plus control. For beginners to mid-level players. Hardness: 2/5. Built-in speed-glue effect: 5/5.

Features

• Two in one: absorbs opponent's energy when defending, more energy release when attacking
• High arc means fewer mistakes
• Softest andro Tensor Bios rubber
• Must not be speed glued
• Tensor Bios for ITTF-compliant speed-glue effect

The RASANTER R37 is for the spin-driven player: a soft 37° sponge for precise active topspin play and control.

• Your profile is spin driven.
• Variable all distance play is your formula for success.
• As a mid to advanced level player you prefer the soft 37° sponge for allowing precise active topspin play and control.

Spin is key – and you will be inspired by the extremely curved trajectory your topspin will describe even at moderate stroke speed.

What's So Special About These New Rubbers?

• RASANTER is the most elaborate and complex rubber development ever undertaken in Germany.
• The goal was to develop a future-oriented rubber technology that allows all ambitious and technically skilled players to overcome the physical disadvantages of the 40+ ball.
• RASANTER's topsheet compensates for the rotational disadvantages of the 40+ ball, while the denser, ultra-thick sponge increases the catapult effect and compensates for the lower speed of the cell free ball.

Rasant means fast in German. Rasanter, of course, means faster. So that gives you a hint of what these new rubbers promise. But the performance advantage goes far beyond just being faster. Let's explore this new technology in depth.

What problem are these rubbers trying to solve? It's been almost 3 years since the changeover to the 40+ poly balls. These new balls are now the standard ball used in all sanctioned tournaments. Compared to the celluloid 40 ball that preceded it, the 40+ ball is about 0.5 mm larger in diameter on average. In addition, the poly material is slicker and smoother than celluloid. Combined, these two characteristics result in a loss of spin and speed when identical force is applied to a 40+ poly ball compared to the celluloid 40 ball.

Ever since the switchover to poly balls, table tennis manufacturers have been trying to make up for that loss. andro has now done so with the introduction of their Rasanter series.

But What Exactly Makes These New Rubbers So Much Better?

First, let's take a look at the topsheet. andro engineers have significantly thinned down the topsheet to only 1.7 mm thick. This extremely thin profile, combined with a new pimple geometry, results in a larger contact area to provide a significant spin gain even at low impact speeds.

Rasanter offers two topsheet versions: V (for Velocity) and R (for Rotation). The pimple geometry is the difference between these two. The V version has smaller pimples spaced farther apart than the R version, which has fatter pimples arranged more closely together. The V pimple geometry maximizes the catapult effect of the sponge, while the R version maximizes the contact area with the ball and allows for stronger surface tension.

The topsheet's surface grip has also been enhanced. Still a grippy European-style top sheet, not a super-sticky Chinese-style topsheet. It has a glossy finish with superior grip to other European-style rubbers.

Next, let's move on to the sponge layer. The sponge developed for Rasanter has a smaller cell structure compared to all other Tensor sponges. This results in a bigger catapult effect for a noticeable speed increase. In addition, by making the topsheet thinner, andro can make the sponge layer thicker. Their new Ultramax sponge is a luxuriously thick 2.3 mm, the thickest available. So smaller cell structure and denser, thicker sponge means more power potential.

Andro offers their sponge in a variety of densities to suit virtually all attacking and all-round playing styles. The V version comes in 42 or 47 hardness sponge; whereas, the R version comes in 37, 42, 47, or 50. 37 is considered soft and is favored by players wanting to enhance the spin and control aspects of the rubber. 50 is a hard sponge and used by players with well-developed strokes who strike the ball with a lot of force and who emphasize power in their games. 42 is a medium sponge that provides more speed than 37 but retains excellent feel and control. 47 is medium hard and is favored by players who want the higher speed and extra power of a hard sponge but with more control than the 50 sponge.

Combined, the topsheet and sponge are a marvel of table tennis engineering. The 2 topsheets and 4 sponges make it possible to ideally match one of these 6 rubbers to your playing style.
