Donic-Schildkröt

Ambitious leisure players and performance-oriented competition players alike are drawn to the Donic-Schildkröt "Waldner 1000", an absolute top quality bat.

Named after the swedish exceptional player Jan-Ove Waldner, who is considered to be the best player of all time in the history of this sport, the "Waldner 1000" offers top quality in every aspect: a high-quality equipment combined with uncompromising quality workmanship, and guaranteeing a high level of fun and many moments of success over a long period of time.

The specially selected wood has been supplemented with a technology known from the competition segment: the so-called "ERGO handle" ensures a smooth transition from the bat blade, without edges, to the handle and does not cause any pressure points on the index finger.

In addition to the bat's optimal position in the hand, this elaborate handle construction also offers the advantage of the fastest possible gripping, when changing from fronthand to backhand (or vice versa), a clear plus point in a game as fast as table tennis.

The ITTF-approved and extremely grippy Revolution X rubber covering, ensures a high level of "Effet" (= spin acceptance) and safe transmission of all other playing techniques onto the ball. The 2.1mm S-Plus sponge achieves a high speed (the thicker the sponge, the more self-acceleration and power the bat has).

In addition, an individual adjustment of the playing characteristics of this table tennis bat, by the so-called "Adjustable Balance Point" technology (ADP,) is possible in order to change the balance point with a few simple steps: shifting the center of gravity in the direction of the handle = more ball control and "Effet", shifting the focus towards the head = more power.

The packaging in a solid blister pack, optimally protects this high-quality bat during shipping. The Waldner Line bat models, which were developed in Germany, score with the high quality promise of Donic-Schildkröt.

Due to its graded material compositions and features, the Waldner series products, are available in the top segment as well as in attractive price ranges, for the ambitious table tennis players of all levels.

The Waldner 1000 is an absolute top bat, for attack-oriented leisure, club and competitive players, who are very offensive and aim for a quick point win.

Ambitious beginners and leisure & recreational players who play regularly will find the Waldner 700 by Donic-Schildkröt a high-quality bat. It is also an absolute recommendation for school sports.

The high-quality "Tactik" wood lies very well in the hand, thanks to the "ERGO handle", adapted from the competition segment, in which the transition from the blade face to the handle is smooth and there are no edges causing pressure points on the index finger.

In addition, the transition from forehand to backhand (or vice versa) can be done very quickly, which is a clear advantage in such a fast-paced sport as table tennis. Vari-Slick rubber pad features a 2.0mm S-40 sponge, ensuring a good spin acceptance, superior power, and that all playing techniques are well transferred to the ball.

Thanks to the "ABP" technology (Adjustable Balance Point) in the handle, power and control can be adjusted in seconds according to the player's wishes. Younger table tennis players enjoy it, especially.

Donic enjoys a worldwide reputation in the table tennis competition segment and is a provider for many of the best known players.

Mikael Appelgren counts among Sweden’s all-time great players, with a record as 4-time World Champion and 9-time European Champion. Teaming with Jan-Ove Waldner and Jörgen Persson, they were the team that finally ended China’s dominance as the #1 team in the world in the late eighties and early nineties, winning the World Team Championships 3 times in a row.

This namesake racket set honors Appelgren’s great accomplishments.

The high quality set offers excellent quality for the price and consists of 4 Appelgren 300 Level Rackets, a Classic Net Set, 3 Training Balls, and a handy carrying case for storage, transport, and keeping your set all in one place.

The 5-ply rackets are ITTF-legal with red/black 1.5mm Jade inverted rubber and a flared ergonomic handle. These rackets offer high control, perfect for all-round players like Appelgren who excelled at strategically placed, controlled shots with sudden flashes of fast play.

The net includes sturdy steel net posts and clamps and a green nylon net with steel ends. The steel ends slip easily over the posts and give rigid structure to the net ends. The posts can be pushed in or out to tension the net, or relieve tension between playing sessions.

There are two 40mm white balls and one orange ball so you’re sure to have the right one for best visibility in a variety of playing conditions. A very good 4-player set that gives you all the basic gear you need to enjoy playing singles or doubles with friends or family.
