Joola Blades

A dynamic offensive blade, the JOOLA Hugo Calderano KL-c Inner Table Tennis Blade places inner-layer KL-c (Aramid-Carbon) composite fibers close to the core and pairs them with premium Limba outer veneers, for an exceptional balance of power, control, and feel.

Named after table tennis star Hugo Calderano, this 5+2 ply construction—Limba, Ayous, KL-c, Ayous, KL-c, Ayous, Limba—delivers OFF speed with a medium-soft touch, weighing around 85g, making it ideal for spin-oriented attackers who demand precision in variable topspins, blocks, and mid-distance drives.

KL-c Composite Technology
KL-c is a proprietary hybrid weave of Aramid and carbon fibers, blending carbon's extreme
stiffness for explosive rebound and enlarged sweet spot with Aramid's superior vibration
damping and impact toughness from body armor applications. In the inner position, KL-c sits under additional Ayous and outer plies, which filter initial ball contact for longer dwell time and a "woody" yet powerful response, reducing harsh buzz compared to pure carbon or outer KL-c designs.

Layer Construction Details
This 7-ply setup uses two inner KL-c layers symmetrically around a lightweight Ayous core,
flanked by three Ayous plies for flex and stability, topped by responsive Limba veneers. Limba provides spin-friendly grip and flexibility near the table, while Ayous maintains linear power development without excess weight; the inner KL-c ensures controlled OFF/OFF+ speed that scales with swing intensity.

Playing Characteristics
Players experience a stable, low-vibration feel with consistent rebound across a larger sweet spot, excelling in short game control, counter-topspins, and high-pressure rallies where pure carbon feels brittle. It offers more power than all-wood blades but superior feedback over hard carbon, with Aramid enhancing durability under repeated impacts for long-lasting performance.

Target Player Profile
Best for advanced offensive players who prioritize topspin variability, precision, and placement. The inner KL-c design emphasizes control-oriented OFF play with versatile performance across all distances.

A classic 5-ply allwood blade with a soft limba top layer, the BASEline Allround uses a trusted composition for players looking for exceptional control and increased contact time. At 83 grams it is on the lighter side, while its increased thickness of 6.5mm improves stability and adds power for offensive play. It is particularly suitable for beginners and young developing players.

An ideal introduction to the world of carbon fiber blades, the BASEline Carbon is a light entry-level blade with a fine inner soft carbon layer. That layer composition adds stiffness while maintaining the natural all wood type of feeling which players love, and it brings great speed with high safety margins and a high arc over the net in topspin play.

With a low total weight of 83 grams, the blade also reduces the overall racket weight, which creates great balance with firmer rubbers.

• Fiber: Soft Carbon Innerlayer
• Top Layer Limba
• Weight: 83 grams

A step up in the series, the BASEline Offensive moves to a more offensive allwood composition. It keeps the great feeling and the stable, 6.5mm thick composition, and adds a stiffer and more powerful Koto wood top layer, which increases the overall hardness of the blade and gives players a more reactive surface for explosive contact and direct power.

At a lightweight 83 grams, the blade suits attacking focused beginners and developing players who are looking for a touch more offensive capability in their equipment.

The PROline ONE is the successor to the legendary Rossi Emotion Blade, and it keeps all the properties that have made this one of JOOLA’s best selling combinations over the years, now with a fresh new design and improved workmanship. That combination is a 7-ply classic: inner 3K-c carbon with a hinoki outer veneer, for incredible feeling.

Overall the blade has a softer feel but still some sharpness on contact, and a great speed kick with a more sensitive touch. It is great for players who optimize their game closer to the table and have more creative and higher risk shots – requiring greater safety and high margins of success.

An excellently balanced all-wood blade, the Proline AW5 impresses with high-quality workmanship and exceptional ball control, and it suits all all-round players who want a steadier feeling: one that maximizes the ability to control incoming speed and spin and to execute great offensive placement with the highest consistency.

Its 5-ply veneer structure gives strong ball feedback and flexibility at all times, which makes it suitable for players of all abilities. The Limba top ply provides a particularly long ball contact time, for a forgiving game and a high trajectory on topspin shots, while the increased overall thickness of 6.8mm ensures sufficient stability for powerful attack balls and effective final shots.

The PROline IAC is a less common composition which offers sharpness on contact from it’s stiffer Koto wood top layer, while offering a superb balance with its inner layer carbon fiber. With KL-c fiber close to the core, the blade offers more forgiveness for even the most offensive shots, creating a unique feel of a longer dwell time – even with a stiffer top layer.

The PROline IAC is a great option for players who need a little added cushioning and control from the classic Koto and Outer Layer carbon compositions.
