The DONIC Desto First is the perfect entry into table tennis: a balanced allround rubber with the right mix of speed and control. Because it is soft, sensitive, and very easy to control, it helps you develop your ball feeling and learn stroke techniques. Desto First is available in two sponge thicknesses:

1.8 mm for beginners – ideal for maximum control and easy learning of techniques, and 
2.0 mm for advanced players– offers slightly more speed without losing control.

DONIC developed the GO concept to give beginners and children the best possible support in learning table tennis strokes: the right material should be used from the very beginning, according to the playing level. Several coordinated core elements are combined to make learning technique easier and faster.

The same core idea – making the start in table tennis easier – is behind the two GO rubber technologies, AirGO-FX and GO2Spin, which are adapted to the different learning stages in table tennis and form the basis for your future playing system.

AirGO-FX combines the pink, porous control sponge (Purple2GO-CTRL) with 37.5° hardness and slightly longer, flexible pimples. Ball contact is soft and sensitive as a result, so you feel every ball precisely, yet the sponge is elastic enough to enable the necessary speed.

GO2Spin is a grippy, slightly tacky topsheet specifically adapted for beginners and learning players: the ball does not slip but couples cleanly, which brings reliable spin, a secure ball feeling, and fast learning progress. Sponge and topsheet are perfectly coordinated, making the rubber especially easy2play and helping beginners to quick success experiences.

Together with the DONIC Zentra blades and the follow-up rubber Desto Next, this forms an overall concept that gives beginners and advanced players optimal conditions for learning table tennis from the very beginning.

Desto Next, with its 42.5° sponge, plays harder, more direct, and more spin-oriented than the Desto First. It helps you take the next step – especially if you are already somewhat more advanced and your technique is more developed.
